- Shop/studio/lab orientations:
- Walk-through orientations for major areas are free
- If a Shop Captain determines that you have sufficient experience with the shop’s equipment, that may be all you need, but make sure to check with the shop captain first.
- If you need training on some or all of the equipment in any given shop, you will need to take an “orientation workshop” or a class - the shop captain can tell you more about this.
- Workshops and Class Discounts:
- Workshops, classes and some orientations are not free but you will receive a discount on the fee. We cannot offer “free” classes because we pay our instructors to teach and payment to instructors is not a part of your monthly fees (otherwise our memberships would be more expensive).
- To sign up for a Workshop, Class or Orientation, please go here: Make Nashville Eventbrite or see specific shop channel in Slack.
- Schedule your access to shops: If you want to be sure that specific shops or equipment will be available, please check the specific shop channel in slack.
- Private Shop/Studio rental:
- Rent your own private area to create, produce and store your projects (See the Facilities Manager or a Board Member for more information)
- Storage bin: Each member can store one storage bin for a monthly fee of $10. Some shops also have storage for ongoing projects. Ask the shop captain about this.
- Resources: Membership doesn’t include materials, but we try to have resources available
