Oxyacetylene Cart
Overview
Oxyacetylene (OA) is an oxygen-fuel mixture that, when burnt from a torch, can heat, braze, and cut (by melting) almost all metals. It is VERY hot.
Rules
Adhere to OHSA Standard 1910.253
In summary:
- ONLY use if you have been trained
- ONLY turn valve wheels by hand, NEVER with a wrench/hammer
- Store OA cart in designated space when not in use.
- Away from heat sources
- At least 20 feet from oil
- Clear valve before connecting a regulator
- An acetylene cylinder valve shall not be opened more than one and one-half turns of the spindle, and preferably no more than three-fourths of a turn.
