Overview

Oxyacetylene (OA) is an oxygen-fuel mixture that, when burnt from a torch, can heat, braze, and cut (by melting) almost all metals. It is VERY hot.

  • Only use if you have been trained
  • Close valves before moving cart
  • Clear valve before connecting a regulator
  • Only turn valve wheels by hand, never with a wrench/hammer
  • An acetylene cylinder valve shall not be opened more than one and one-half turns of the spindle, and preferably no more than three-fourths of a turn.
  • Store OA cart in designated space when not in use.
